**UPDATE 5**
The Hart ski hill is intending to have the kitchen open and available for the tournament. This will include both Saturday and Sunday. Please consider supporting the ski hill by buying lunch, as they are essential to the continued success of the course. (note that they are a licensed establishment, so a cool down adult beverage is a great idea).

**UPDATE 4.5**
Paypal has now been sorted out, registration is back open.

**UPDATE 3**
We have now secured discs for the tournament. The players pack will have the MVP Circuit Challenge Discs included. Full details have been added to the player’s pack section. Due to timelines and shipping, we have had to pre-purchase discs, which will limit our total players to 60.

**UPDATE 2**
We have secured a title sponsor (Thank you McElhanney) for the event and will be pushing through regardless. We are in the process of determining final disc selections and ordering, as shipping will be our big concern.

**UPDATE**
Trilogy has delayed the option to open registration. We are investigating other options and hope to have details finalized and registration open by May 11.

Cost: $40 per player.
For players looking to take part in both the singles portion and the doubles portion, there will be a $5 additional cost.

For members there will be no additional charge, as your insurance has been covered through your league fees. You will be able to register as a member of the PGDGC as part of your tournament registration. For anyone who has been on the fence, this is your chance to help support disc golf in PG, not only as a player, but as a league member helping drive the direction of the sport in PG.

Welcome to the Prince George Three Disc Challenge. Now that we have a dedicated course in Prince George, we are looking to introduce even more people to the wonderful activity of disc golf. Please read through everything carefully as there are multiple options available to everyone, as we want to make the event as accessible as possible.

If you are unfamiliar with the Three Disc Challenge format, it is a variable format tournament with the primary feature being the three mandatory discs. As part of your player pack you will receive three discs (TBC). Through the whole tournament you are required to use the provided discs, and no other discs. This has the benefit of providing newer players with a suite of discs to take home, and challenges experienced players to take different lines with discs and lines they may not have previously considered.

Juniors (12)

For junior players (12 and under), we are holding a dedicated event on Saturday (June 25) morning from 09:30 to 11:30 at the Edgewood DGC located adjacent to Edgewood Elementary. This restricted event will include dedicated prizes, swag and include the lightest discs we get, to allow for the greatest enjoyment for the younger players. Players competing in the singles (or doubles) portion of the event will be allowed to register at Edgewood to get some practice time in with the mandatory discs.

Singles

On Saturday (June 25) afternoon we will hold the primary event, a singles one-round tournament with discs nobody has used before that day. Registration will be open from 12:30 – 13:30 with a player meeting to follow. The event will be a shotgun start with player starting holes handed out at the players meeting. Immediately following the round, there will be prizes, awards and a small closing ceremony. The ski hill is hosting a reception in the evening, so we will be starting and finishing promptly to prevent interference. Your cooperation as players is appreciated.

For the singles event we will have four divisions. These are being classified as Mixed Competitive, Female Competitive, Mixed Beginner, and Female Beginner. Please register for the tournament based on the below information. Note that the Beginner divisions will be teeing off from alternate spray-painted tee pads on several holes, so if you want to play with the original full course, please register for Competitive.

Doubles

Sunday (June 26) morning (09:00 – 12:00) we will have a bonus doubles round. This round is intended to let players experiment more with their new discs, and play with another competitor to learn from, or teach, while having a bit of fun competition. Player assignments will be based on placement in the singles portion of the event, with the mixed and women’s divisions being combined, but keeping the competitive and beginner distinctions. The low score will be paired with the high score and working down the scores until the centre two players are combined. If you wish to move from intermediate to novice (or vice versa) please let the tournament staff know before player assignments are completed. Following completion of the doubles round, we will have another prize/awards closing period.

Ace Pot

There will be an optional ace pot available to all players. A separate ace pot will be held for the singles and doubles portion. No distinction will be made for divisions.

All aces will receive equal payout in the case of multiples. If no aces are hit during the event a CTP on hole 2 will be the determinator.
